Our Story
With over 40 years of experience in the catering industry, I’ve dedicated my life to food. Originally from Aughton in Lancashire, my culinary journey has taken me through a wide range of roles across the catering world - each on helping me develop and refine my skills in the kitchen.
After moving to the Lake District, I opened St. Martin’s Tearoom, which I proudly ran for seven years. This chapter allowed me to explore the world of hospitality from a new angle, deepening my passion for high-quality, handcrafted food. Following that, I spent time working with various businesses, gaining valuable insight into different styles of cooking and food production.
That path has led me to where I am today - creating Murphy’s Hot Sauces. What began as a personal passion has grown into a small business, currently based at a market stall in Bowness-on-Windermere, where I love connecting with customers and sharing my sauces with locals and visitors alike.
My aim is simple: to bring bold, balanced flavours to tables across the UK. I’m excited to take Murphy’s Hot Sauces on the road and see how they’re received around the country.
